VIRGO 2025 - Sabrina Belouaar

For the 4th edition of Correspondance Astrale, Sabrina Belouaar produced the postcard foreseeing 2025 for Virgo ♍.

Born in 1986 in Charenton-le-Pont, France, and based in Paris, Sabrina Belouaar explores sculpture, photography, video, and installation to question the construction of social and cultural identities. Her work navigates the tensions between the Maghreb and Western Europe, center and periphery, exposing power dynamics in political and familial spheres. Critiquing media-driven stereotypes and contradictions, she weaves connections between postcolonial history and her personal narrative, blending the political with the poetic. Through investigative fieldwork, she examines and subverts everyday representations, uncovering their narrative, poetic, and critical potential.
